HWHG produces customized stainless steel coils and stainless steel plates. We have been in this industry for many years and have rich experience and advantages to meet your different applications and specifications. Devote to green manufacturing, continue to create value for customers.
The custom stainless steel coil is a rolled flat strip of stainless steel that is manufactured according to specific dimensions, grades, finishes, and other customization needs for particular industrial applications. These coils are widely used in industries such as automotive, construction, chemical processing, and food processing, where corrosion resistance, strength, and durability are critical.
Custom design your stainless steel coils sheet!
1. Custom stainless steel coils Material Grades:
○ 304 Stainless Steel: The most widely used grade, offering excellent corrosion resistance, weldability, and formability.
○ 316 Stainless Steel: Contains molybdenum for enhanced corrosion resistance, especially against chlorides and marine environments.
○ 430 Stainless Steel: A cheaper option with good corrosion resistance but lower than 304 and 316.
○ 410/420 Stainless Steel: Grades are used for their higher strength and moderate corrosion resistance, often in cutlery and tools.
2. Thickness Range:
○ Thickness Range: Steel Coils can be customized to specific thicknesses, 0.01mm - 6mm+ can be customized.
○ Tolerance: The tolerance (allowable variation in thickness) can also be specified.
3. Width Range:
Stainless steel coils can be slit to custom widths, depending on the needs of the customer. Typical coil widths can range from 0.5 inches to 72 inches (12 mm to 1.8 meters), but custom widths are available.
4. Surface Finishes Options:
○ 2B Finish: A smooth, cold-rolled finish, often used for industrial applications where appearance is not a major concern.
○ BA (Bright Annealed): A highly reflective, smooth finish, suitable for applications like kitchen equipment.
○ No.4 Finish: A brushed or satin finish often used in architectural applications.
○ No.8 Mirror Finish: A highly polished finish that offers a mirror-like reflection, used in decorative applications.
5. Custom Stainless Steel Coils Edge Condition:
○ Mill Edge: The edge as it is after rolling, without any additional processing.
○ Slit Edge: Edges that are cut with precision to specific widths, typically smoother and burr-free.
6. Coil Weight and Length:
Stainless steel coils can be produced in different weights depending on the application.
If the coil is unrolled and cut into sheets or strips, custom lengths can be specified to fit the customer’s manufacturing process.
7. Coil Processing:
○ Cold Rolling: Most custom stainless steel coils sheets are cold-rolled for a smoother finish and improved mechanical properties.
○ Hot Rolling: Some custom coils may be hot-rolled for applications where surface smoothness is less critical, but strength is important.
○ Annealing: Custom annealing processes can be applied to reduce hardness and improve ductility.
○ Pickling and Passivation: This removes the oxide layer formed during heat treatment and ensures enhanced corrosion resistance.
Applications of Custom Stainless Steel Coils
Automotive: Used in exhaust systems, fuel tanks, trim, and structural components.
Construction: For roofing, cladding, and structural frames due to its durability and corrosion resistance.
Food Processing: Stainless steel coils are used for food processing equipment, storage tanks, and kitchen surfaces because they are easy to clean and resist corrosion.
Chemical Processing: Used in environments where the material needs to resist aggressive chemicals or high temperatures.
Energy: In oil & gas, solar, and nuclear industries, stainless steel coils are used in pipelines, heat exchangers, and structural components.
