Description
Our Cold Rolled 304L 2B Stainless Steel Strips are a type of high-quality, low-carbon stainless steel strip that is produced through a cold rolling process. This process involves passing the steel through rollers at room temperature to achieve the desired thickness and surface finish. The 304L grade refers to a low-carbon version of the commonly used 304 stainless steel, offering enhanced weldability and resistance to corrosion, particularly in high-temperature environments.
The 2B finish is a standard cold-rolled finish that provides a smooth and reflective surface with a slightly dull appearance. This type of stainless steel strip is widely used in applications that require high strength, corrosion resistance, and excellent formability.
304L stainless steel has a carbon content of less than 0.03%, which reduces the risk of carbon precipitation at welding joints, improving its weldability and corrosion resistance. It is particularly useful in welded applications, where heat treatment is not always possible.
The 2B finish is a widely used, smooth, and dull surface finish that is produced by cold rolling followed by annealing and pickling. It provides a clean and uniform finish that is easy to maintain and highly resistant to staining.
This finish is ideal for applications where aesthetic appeal is secondary to functionality and where a matte surface is desired.
304L stainless steel is well-known for its excellent corrosion resistance, especially in environments where oxidation and rusting are concerns. The low carbon content improves the steel’s resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion in chloride environments.
Cold-rolled 304L 2B stainless steel strips are versatile and can be easily fabricated and formed into various shapes and sizes. They are used in food processing equipment, pharmaceutical industries, architectural applications, and automotive parts, among others.
304L stainless steel offers high tensile strength and is resistant to impact, abrasion, and fatigue. This makes it ideal for use in demanding applications where the material will be subjected to heavy wear and tear.
Architectural and Construction: Used for exterior and interior cladding, wall panels, and decorative elements due to its durability, resistance to corrosion, and easy formability.
Automotive Industry: Cold-rolled 304L stainless steel strips are used in exhaust systems, trim, brackets, and other automotive parts that require strength and resistance to corrosion.
Food Processing and Pharmaceutical Industries: The 304L stainless steel is food grade and often used in equipment such as tanks, pipes, mixing vessels, and heat exchangers where hygiene and durability are critical.
Consumer Goods: Used in the manufacture of appliances, kitchen equipment, and furniture, offering strength, appearance, and corrosion resistance.
Construction: 304L stainless steel strips are used for reinforcement bars, building facades, roofing, and elevator interiors.
