2B (cold-rolled pickled finish)

2B is a process where the stainless steel coil is pressed into the required thickness through a cold rolling process and then pickled to remove the oxide scale on the surface. The surface is usually smooth but without a mirror effect. The thickness range is selected according to different application scenarios, including 0.1mm~5mm and above

Appearance: It has a slight gloss, the surface is relatively smooth and has a subtle texture, and the color is a natural metallic color.

Corrosion resistance: The pickling process removes some oxides on the surface of the stainless steel, so it has good corrosion resistance, but its corrosion resistance is slightly inferior to some high-gloss surfaces (such as 8K or Mirror).

Application: Widely used in general industry, building decoration, food processing equipment, kitchen utensils, home appliance housings, etc.

Advantages: Low cost, suitable for conventional applications that require high strength and corrosion resistance.

BA (annealed bright finish)

BA is a process where the surface of the stainless steel coil is brightened by annealing after hot rolling. A bright annealing furnace is usually used during the annealing process to retain the gloss and quality of the metal.

Appearance: It has a silvery-white luster, a smooth and bright surface, similar to a mirror effect, but the glossiness is lower than 8K.

Corrosion resistance: Due to the bright annealing treatment, there is no oxide on the surface, and the corrosion resistance is good, especially suitable for high-end decorative products.

Application: Mainly used for high-end home appliances, auto parts, architectural decoration and other products with high requirements for appearance.

Advantages: Smooth and beautiful, with good corrosion resistance, suitable for occasions with high requirements for appearance.

8K (mirror surface)

8K is to treat the surface of the stainless steel coil to a mirror effect through a very fine polishing and grinding process. Usually it takes multiple rounds of polishing process and uses ultra-fine sandpaper (usually 8000 mesh) to treat the surface.

Appearance: It has extremely high gloss, the reflection effect is similar to a mirror, the surface is very smooth, and there is no visible texture.

Corrosion resistance: The surface treated with 8K is very smooth, has excellent corrosion resistance, and is suitable for special environments, but its surface is relatively easy to be scratched and requires special protection.

Application: Widely used in high-end decoration, precision instruments, luxury car interiors, luxury packaging and other fields.

Advantages: Extremely high visual effect, strong reflection effect, suitable for high-end products that require beautiful and mirror-like effects.

HL (drawn surface)

HL refers to the fine drawing of the stainless steel surface by special sanding belts or grinding wheels, which usually produces long and parallel lines.

Appearance: The surface presents long strips of texture, with uniform and fine lines, and has a texture similar to the drawing effect.

Corrosion resistance: Similar to No. 4, the HL surface also has good corrosion resistance, but due to the characteristics of the surface texture, it is also easy to accumulate stains and needs to be cleaned regularly.

Application: Widely used in architectural decoration, home appliances, kitchen utensils and other fields, especially suitable for applications with high decorative requirements.

Advantages: The brushed texture has good aesthetics and can cover up tiny scratches. It is suitable for occasions requiring a delicate appearance.

Mirror (mirror effect)

Mirror is an extremely fine surface treatment method. The stainless steel surface is usually finely treated by electrolytic polishing or polishing machine to achieve extremely high brightness.

Appearance: The surface is as bright as a mirror, with a strong reflection effect, and there are almost no visible surface defects.

Corrosion resistance: Similar to 8K, Mirror has a very smooth surface and strong corrosion resistance, but because it is very shiny, it is easy to get scratched.Application: It is usually used in high-end decoration, luxury packaging, precision instruments, car interior decoration and other fields.

Advantages: The visual effect is extremely good, with extremely high reflectivity and mirror effect, suitable for applications with extremely high appearance requirements.
