In January 2014, the first domestically operated five-stand tandem mill with continuous annealing and pickling line put into operation in Zhaoqing Hongwang. The production line adopted an advanced 18-high mill and intelligent control technology. Successfully building and operating the five-stand tandem mill changed the phase of the Chinese cold rolled steel industry from single rolling to continuous rolling.
In June 2019, the company developed the whole coil finishing technology of color-coating and sandblasting, such as brushed finish, 8K, Ti-Black, Ti-Gold, AFP, PVD, and single sheet PVD intelligent continuous coating. Hongwang has achieved a large-scale production of color-coated stainless steel and improved the color stability and quality control.
